Yes there is a master fuse somewhere in there.Follow the red lead off the battery they are usually located by the starter solenoid. But on some of the older models the main fuse was mixed right in with the others.

If we’re talking about a low mileage example, 10w40 is fine. If the bike has been around the block a few times (30,000+ miles/50,000+ km) you might feel better with something a little heavier such as 15w50. Personally, I use Motul 15w50 semi synthetic and my bike has over 90,000 miles on it. But truthfully, regular oil changes are more important than the type of oil you use. Good luck

Question by kemaramodel: on a Honda CX500 motorcycle, are you able to drive it on 1cyl?
I’m thinking of buying a CX500, but its only running on 1 cyl. right now… is ti drivable? i wouldn’t be driving it long distances or anything, or all the time. Just here and there like 1-2x a week. If i buy it, I’ll be buying it for $ 300. Is it worth it?
Its a 1979 btw.
yea, obviously i don’t have the experience/knowledge or i wouldn’t ask… but isn’t this what the “yahoo answers” are for?
I’m not looking to use it everyday or for long distances… just every once and a while to run like 2 miles each time i’d ride.
About how much would it cost to get the carbs cleaned n stuff?
Best answer:
Answer by G B
Why don’t you consider having it repaired, it could be something as simple as replacing a bad spark plug ?
However, assuming that it is something more serious, say a plugged carb, or even a burnt valve, if you keep running it that way you will cause more serious damage. Not to mention that it will be very underpowered, ill idling, and probably prone to overheating. As a mechanic I have taken on numerous repair projects, but, if you lack the tools and experience you should probably avoid this one and save your money for something that at least runs correctly.

It’s always great to have a passion for what you do, but unfortunately you will probably need some sort of certification to work for a huge company like Honda.

If you’re VERY careful, you can turn the shock adjuster with a big pair of “channel lock pliers” while wrapping the shock with a thick rag.
The thick rag is to prevent scratching, and chewing up the chrome.
Be careful not to crush the shock cover.

You are wasting a lot of points on this one question X 3.
Why don’t you bug Honda on line and maybe they will just send you one for free.

Question by : What is the electrical output for the Honda motorcycle PC 800?
Best answer:
Answer by Buster Brown
That is not an easy spec to find; it is not in the usual spec sheets. However, I believe it is 340 watts. That should be enough to run both heated gear and some auxiliary lighting.

Question by Paula J: i need to know how to set the clock on a 2001 honda superhawk motorcycle?
I do not have the owners manual, and can only seem to figure out how to set it to military time. I would rather not use military time, I have to think too hard :p
And as for those that would ask what the point of having a clock on the motorcycle…you have one in your car right???? Someone that sees no use in a clock on a motorcycle, obviously is just a rider to be cool. Some people actually ride a motorcycle more than just every once in a while when only the weather is perfect, and all their buddies decide to ride for an afternoon. Some people actually ride on a regular basis. It is a LOT better on gas mileage than cars.

You have a clock on your motorcycle??? What the hell is the point of that??
Get real -
I’ve seen clocks in cars go from 24 hr to 12 hr if you hold down both the Hr and Min button at the same time. No Idea if this applies to your bike, but it might.
Clock on a motorcycle… what is the world coming to…
Cheers!
